Gospel Music and Solidarity in Révfülöp

During the long weekend, gospel choirs from Balatonboglár and Budapest came together for a good cause.
The Seven Houses Gospel Choir & Band from Balatonboglár and their sister choir, the Budavári Gospel Choir, took part in a two-day music workshop in Révfülöp. The event focused on singing together, musical development, and community building — all in the spirit of supporting a meaningful cause.
The workshop was led by Szabolcs Balásy, composer, music educator, and conductor of the Voisingers Choir from Pécs. Over the course of two days — with nearly 19 hours of active singing — participants enriched themselves with new songs, meaningful experiences, and spiritual renewal.
To conclude the program, a sold-out charity concert was held on May 3 at the Evangelical Church in Révfülöp. During the evening, both choirs performed individually, then came together for a joint performance — including newly composed pieces by Szabolcs Balásy.
The donations from the concert were offered in support of the construction of the new building for the Tábitha Children’s Hospice House, with a total of 208,000 forints raised. While this amount may seem like just a drop in the ocean, for us every contribution is worth its weight in gold — because the work we do at the Tábitha House is not measured in forints, but in love, care, and compassion.
We are deeply grateful to the Seven Houses Gospel Choir of Balatonboglár, the Budavár Gospel Choir, and to every supporter and participant for singing together — together for a good cause!
