About us

At Hungary’s only children’s hospice, we help families facing the most difficult challenge of their lives: their child’s incurable illness and loss. Since 2011, the Tábitha House has been providing free support, professional medical care, and nursing to children with incurable diseases and their families in a dignified, loving environment.

The Tábitha Magical World is a place where love and care are present every moment. As professionals working here, our daily tasks go beyond medical and nursing duties — we also provide emotional support to families. We believe that every child deserves a life free of pain and, when the time comes, a dignified farewell.
The Tábitha House is a house of life, where the moments before death are the most precious. Our top priority is to provide a peaceful environment for the little patients and their families, so parents can give their beloved children everything that makes their time together easier — and, when necessary, supports them through separation and its healing process.

How do we help?

End-of-life care

We provide safety and a helping hand during the hardest times, so that with our support, families can say goodbye to their child with love and dignity

Parental Respite

We provide relief to exhausted parents by temporarily taking over the care of their child who requires 24-hour attention

Transitional care

After hospital discharge, we help parents learn how to properly care for their incurably ill child at home

Psychological support

We offer individual, couple, and group therapy options for all members of the affected families

Founder's Vision

"As the founder of the Tábitha House, it has been difficult to face the unimaginable tragedy of child loss, yet it is necessary to speak about it. The world constantly pushes the idea that life’s meaning lies in success, money, and achievement, while true values — time spent together, love, health — are often pushed aside. The proximity of death, however, changes everything: it makes us realize how precious a peaceful night and ordinary days with family really are — moments we must not waste. I have seen parents cope with loss in different ways — some struggle alone, others find strength in God. One thing they all share is a warning: time is limited, and we can only pass on the values that live within us."
