Jónak lenni jó!: World Champion Signed Jersey Offered by Handball Players

The list of items available for purchase in the “Jónak lenni jó!” charity campaign has been expanded with another sports relic. The club offered a jersey signed by the players of Veszprém HC, the winners of the Men’s Handball Club World Championship, to support the public media’s charitable campaign.

Representatives of the sports world have repeatedly shown their sensitivity to good causes, with many joining the public media’s charity campaign in previous years as well. This year is no different, with another sports-related donation: a jersey signed by the world champion Veszprém handball players. Teamwork and the power of community are key elements on the field, and this is especially visible in team sports. In this spirit, the Veszprém handball players joined the “Jónak lenni jó!” campaign, where solidarity can now be demonstrated in an extremely difficult situation.

“The club’s philosophy places great emphasis on social responsibility. We want to create something lasting and set an example not only on the court but also off it, and to support initiatives aimed at helping others to the best of our ability. That is why we wanted to join this year’s public media campaign, offering the jersey signed by the team for its charitable purpose,” said László Nagy, Sports Director of the Veszprém Handball Club and board member of the Hungarian Handball Federation, as a guest on the Család-barát program.

The special value of the physical donation presented in the studio is further enhanced by the fact that it was signed by world champions, as Veszprém HC won the Men’s Handball Club World Championship held in Egypt this year.

The public media’s charity campaign is helping to build a unique new children’s hospice house in Central Europe. The beneficiary, the Baptist Charity Service, can be supported not only by purchasing valuable items displayed on mediaklikk.hu/jonaklennijo but also by calling the 1355 donation line, starting from December 1, with donations of 500 HUF.

The campaign will be concluded again this year with a large-scale, all-day broadcast event on December 22, during which additional memorabilia will be auctioned.

Donations for the charity campaign can be offered by emailing jonaklennijo@mtva.hu. Updates on the campaign are available at mediaklikk.hu/jonaklennijo.
